Fly Over Pedestrian Bridge
Tempe Arizona 2004
The idea of wings in flight carrying pedestrians across the freeway prompted the design for this overpass. Seen from the freeway, the canopy trusses follow a wave profile.
The structure is painted a light violet blue to blend with the desert sky.
