Marina Water Muse

The Muse is an artwork designed to provide beneficial circulation for the Rio Salado Lagoon. It is also designed to echo the traditions of water distribution found throughout the Salt River valley and to encourage a contemplative interaction with flowing water.
Water traveling through the system flows through a gauntlet of various channels, basins and siphons evoking different visual and acoustic conditions.
Up to 5 cubic feet of water per second can be pumped from the Town Lake through an underground pipe to begin the journey through the Muse.
Materials: concrete, sandstone, stainless and galvanized steel, water, lighting.
